Natural Land Clearing, Inc. started out as Bar S Farms an SMCS Holdings venture. On January 1, 2008 it was decided to separate it and make it a full blown corporation of its own.
The corporation is located in the small town of Petersburg, TN about one hour south of Nashville, Tennessee.
The corporation primary purpose is to provide an eco friendly means of controlling unwanted vegetation.
The corporation is headed up by Marci L. Surowitz, founder and primary stock holder of the corporation. Marci, who is also a licensed mortgage broker, has decided to put away her calculator and pursue the goat browsing business. Mrs. Surowitz became a certified goat browsing provider because she is able to travel outdoors while working with the herd of goats on a regular basis. Marci provides all of the animal husbandry required, seeking the help of her vet when needed. She actively seeks out new or improved ways to care for her animals, taking classes or attending boot camps when offered.
The Chief Operating Officer is Marci's husband Stephen. Steve works with Marci at her side helping to perform all of the husbandry tasks, as well as the IT, public relations, and job negotiations. There is no job to big or task to small that Steve can't handle. He is the oil that keeps things running smoothly.
Currently the primary herd consists of 100 goats and 8 livestock guardian dogs. All goats and dogs used on projects are owned by Bar S Farms, a family run farm.
Natural Land clearing, Inc. is serving Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina & Florida with plans to franchise to the North Eastern States in the coming future.
